积水潭《实用骨科学》自2008年出版以来，重印三次，得到骨科医生的好评，曾获得中国书刊发行业协会“2008年度全行业优秀畅销品种”的称号，现已成为骨科专科医生的“教科书”、“参考书”。出版4年来，骨科科研成果和临床技术水平不断提高，对本专业领域的认识也得到进一步提升，主编拟组织修订《实用骨科学》。本次修订原则为修订错误，增加新进展，突出实用性。 修订工作由积水潭医院的各科室主任牵头负责，为保证工作的连续性，编写人员原则上要求仍为第一版撰稿人。
