Summary
山水画作为中国文化名片，是我们认识民族性和进行身份认同的有力支撑。20世纪以来，中国山水画受到西方学界的关注，海外学者以“他者”方式，把中国艺术纳入全景式人类艺术图景之中，成为中西比较的重要案例。本书围绕中国山水画的历时性分期、画作本体、画家身份与艺术活动、绘画理论、中西特性比较等五个结构性要素展开，探索英语世界中国山水画研究的阶段特征、核心问题以及中西比较下的理论反思，揭示异质话语研究中的变异性问题，力图为中国山水画当代构建提供合理路径。
