本书运用历史文献考证法和历史比较法对国内外食品安全危机中的舆论监督进行对比分析；用Excel数据库对近年来我国食品安全公共危机中各类食品安全问题、媒体信息和地区信息进行统计分析；运用实证分析法中的定性分析等方法，以“三鹿奶粉”事件的舆论监督为实证研究对象，探讨食品安全公共危机中舆论监督之不足并提出改进方案；运用SWOT分析法，结合外部因素针对案例中舆论监督的优势和劣势进行分析；在以上研究的基础上通过专家访谈和小组讨论法展开对食品安全公共危机中舆论监督的研究，提出适合我国国情的食品安全公共危机舆论监督之框架设计。
