鉴于国内外对粘性泥沙淤积固结特性的研究较少，十余年来，在国家自然科学基金和教育部博士点基金的资助下，我有计划地安排一些研究生通过理论分析、实验研究和数值模拟等方法，对粘性泥沙淤积固结特性及其应用进行了系列探讨，得到了一些新的认识，特汇成此书，供相关水利和地学工作者参考。
